Dr. Pelzl is a native of New Braunfels. He graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Upon graduation, he worked in Houston as a design engineer in the Oil and Gas industry before returning to college to pursue medicine. He graduated with his medical degree from Southwestern Medical School in 2005. He graduated in 2010 from general surgery residency at OU College of Medicine Tulsa.
Dr. Pelzl is board certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery. He was in a group practice in Stillwater, Oklahoma from 2010 through 2018 prior to returning home to Texas. Dr. Pelzl joined General Surgical Associated in October of 2018. He is Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Texas Medical Association.
Dr. Pelzl is accepting new patients at our medical center office and operates at multiple hospital systems in San Antonio.
