Samuel J. Pangburn, D.O.
Dr. Samuel Pangburn earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. He went on to complete his medical degree at Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tulsa, where he was elected President of his Class and Student Senator as well as achieving Honor Roll. Dr. Pangburn continued his training with an Internship and Residency in General Surgery at Tulsa Regional Medical Center in Oklahoma.
Board certified in General Surgery by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery, Dr. Pangburn has been practicing medicine since 2002 and joined General Surgical Associates in 2011. He proudly serves as Chief of Staff at the Christus Santa Rosa Westover Hills campus. Dr. Pangburn keeps abreast of the latest developments in the field of surgery by maintaining memberships in numerous professional organizations, including the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, American Osteopathic Association, American Medical Association, Texas Osteopathic Medical Association and Texas Medical Association, among others.
Dr. Pangburn conveniently offers patient appointments at our Medical Center, Westover Hills, and Hondo locations. In addition, he routinely operates in multiple hospital systems and surgery centers in San Antonio and the surrounding areas.
